160mm Fiber Laser Zoom Collimator Head FAC-160

Fiber optic collimators are used to emit light from an optical fiber into a free-space collimated beam with a specified beam diameter or spot size. They can also be used in reverse to focus light into an optical fiber. In practice, a simple collimating lens is sufficient for this purpose. However, for this to work, the end of the optical fiber must be firmly positioned at a distance from the lens approximately equal to its focal length, which makes it impractical and unreliable.
